LATE WAKE UP OF MEGA, CRVENA ZVEZDA CELEBRATED IN SREMSKA MITROVICA
Two thousand spectators in the PSC Pinki Hall in Sremska Mitrovica watched the game in which Mega Bemax lost to Crvena zvezda mts with 68:78 (15:20, 10:22, 22:22, 21:14) in the match of the 11th round of the ABA League. Mega was losing double-digit difference during the most part of the game, in order to lower the deficit to only 6 points in the finish, but it was too late for a reversal. The players of coach Dejan Milojevic played against Crvena zvezda in a completely black holiday set of uniforms in which they will play the next two matches in Sremska Mitrovica. The coach of Mega Bemax at this match could not count on Kostja Mushidi.
The most effective in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Goga Bitadze with 23 points and Branislav Ratkovica with 11. In Crvena zvezda the most efficient was Stratos Perperoglou with 17 points.
Dejan Milojevic started the match with Ratkovica, Asceric, Mokoka, Miskovic and Bitadze. At the beginning of the match after the triple of Miskovic, Mega led with 6: 5, but Zvezda hit two triples for the series 0:8. There followed a good defense period for Mega, Carapic and Bitadze dropped a minus at only 15:16, but Zvezda from the free-throw line set the result after the first 10 minutes, 15:20
The second quarter fully belonged to Crvena zvezda, which made a series of points from all positions for 19 points laed. Bitadze manages to move Mega in the finish of half with a few dunks and points from the free-throw line, but Zvezda punished defensive mistakes after several offensive rebounds, so the first half ended with convincing 25:42.
After the triple Simanic for 25:45, Carapic and Marjanovic lowered the difference to 13 points, however, Zvezda with three denied attack of Mega. Bitadze with two triples keeps Mega in the attack. The third period ends with 47:64.
Mega went on all or nothing in the last quarter, Ratkovica was excellent, assisted great the teammates and managed with two triples to drop the minus to only 6 points, 65:71 with 2 and a half minutes to the end. However, missed free throws and points of Zvezda at the very end of the attack cost Mega full reversal of the game, so the match ended with 68:78.
