BITADZE SECOND BEST PROSPECT IN ABA LEAGUE
The young center of Mega Bemax Goga Bitadze won 2nd place in the selection for the best young player of the ABA league j.t.d. having won 16 percent of the combined votes of the ABA League, the coach of the team and the fans. In the selection were basketball players born in 1997 and later, the best player was voted Dzanan Musa from Cedevita.
Goga Bitadze, still an eighteen-year-old, had a great debut season in a regional competition where for Mega Bemax in 23 minutes per game on average had 11.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks. With this score, Goga Bitadze was the second blocker and the sixth rebounder in the league, and in that way he made a big contribution to the fact that in team statistics, Mega was the first in the league in rebounds (36.3) and blocks (4.3) per game.
Bitadze came to Mega in 2015 from the Georgian team Vita Tbilisi. In the 2015/16 season, he became the champion of Serbia with the Mega cadet team and last season with juniors of Mega won the second place in the final tournament of junior Euroleague in Istanbul, and he was selected in the All-Tournament team. In January he won the title with the juniors of Mega Bemax in the first season of the junior ABA league, and at the F4, which was held in Laktasi, was chosen as MVP. In the meantime Goga Bitadze also debuted for the A national team of Georgia.
