MILOJEVIC: “WE SHOWED THAT WE CAN PLAY WITH THE BEST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE”

Basketball players of Mega Bemax, despite good game most of the match and great fight, failed to overcome the leaders of the ABA League Buducnost VOLI, as the guests from Podgorica celebrated with 83:94.

On his return to Mega Bemax, Ognjen Jaramaz had 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 18 minutes. At a press conference after the match, Jaramaz pointed out that he regretted that Mega did not use its chances for win:

Coach of Mega Bemax Dejan Milojevic pointed out that the team failed to use a good game in the first half with a bigger difference:

– I congratulate Buducnost on winning, they showed why are they the leader in the league. They played brightly, with quality. We parried them with a good part of the game, we had our very good moments. We played quite well in the first half, but we did not manage to crown it with any major difference. In the second half, Buducnost took advantage of some of our mistakes and insufficiently good communication, we took the defense badly, and they hit open shots. Our shot did not serve this time, we only had 22% of the shot for three points, and if you want to win against the team that is the leader in the table, this is not enough. I can not say that I am dissatisfied because we have shown that we can play with the best teams in the league. I’m glad that Jaramaz returned, I expect a lot more good basketball from him. Buducnost player Filip Barovic stressed that this is a very important victory for his team:

– Very important victory for us. Of course, every triumph is important because we set high goals. Budućnost VOLI coach Aleksandar Dzikic pointed out that his team didn’t had to allow 20 rebounds in the attack for Mega players:

– We will remember some of the general things from this game, that we have noticed the victory, remained at the first place on the table, that there was another round less until the end of the league’s competition … However, these guys from Mega had held us lesson. It is embarrassing for us to have allowed them 20 rebounds in the attack, of which the 15 balls under our basket caught their guards. Mega Bemax is absolutely one of the most powerful teams in the ABA league regardless of their age and inexperience, they have a great quality. – That’s why I’m not happy with the way we got into this game. There was no control of the pace as well as the necessary rigidity, and that is what is essential in matches against Mega. I do not see where the idea is for this game to be easy, especially since we came to Mitrovica after a series of very difficult matches, and this is the sixth day we are out of Podgorica.
