ZAGORAC: “THANK YOU MEGA FOR SIX BEAUTIFUL YEARS”
Mega Bemax basketball player Rade Zagorac officially signed a contract with Memphis Grizzlies, becoming the fourth player of Mega from 2015 who went from the club directly to the NBA league. Zagorac was selected by the NBA draft last year as the 35th pick by Boston to be immediately forwarded to Memphis.
Zagorac has already appeared in the Summer NBA league in Las Vegas where with Memphis he reached a semifinals where they were defeated by Portland with 87:82 with 7 points, 5 rebounds and steals of Zagorac
Rade Zagorac came to Mega in 2011 in which he participated in the biggest successes of the club in the next 6 years. As the captain in the 2015/16 season, he led Mega to the first trophy, Kup Radivoja Koraca, and then to the second highest success, finishing in the finals of the ABA League playoff.
In the last season, for Mega in the ABA League had 15 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists on average, while in the Champions League on average he had 12.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
After signing the contract, Zagorac thanked club for maturing as a player and human in the past six years:
“I would like to thank Mega for this beautiful occasion in six beautiful years, filled with unforgettable experiences, and thanks forthe great help in player and human maturation. Through this years I have learned what it means to be a professional, to be responsible, to deal with the stronger ones, to feel the success and failures.
I have no doubt that Mega remains on solid legs and is stable, just as I had found it six years ago.
My next step is my child’s dream, playing and competing in the world’s highest quality league.
To dear people from the administration, coaches, professional staff, supporters and, of course, teammates with whom I have been working all these years – thank you.
From your new fan – good luck.”
Thank you for all Zagor and we wish you a Mega NBA career!
