JOKIC WATCHED HEROIC GAME OF MEGA, STILL ZVEZDA IS IN THE FINALS

Players of Mega Leks played a great second match of semifinal playoffs of Mozzart Super League before 2,000 spectators in Sremska Mitrovica, but at the end Crvena zvezda mts celebrated with 75:84 (26:28, 13:19, 27:20, 9:17). Mega in the middle of the third period in a great atmosphere in the hall PSC Pinki was losing by 15 points, but then with a series of 16:0 moved into the lead and played tight match until the very end when Zvezda finally reached victory and placements to the finals.

Beside Alpha Kaba and injured Sava Lesic,  in roster was not even Marko Tejic, but on the team for the first time after a long time was Vlatko Cancar who still did not enter the game.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega Leks were Ognjen Jaramaz with 14 and Radosav Spasojevic with 13 points and also excellent was captain Jovan Novak with 8 points, 11 assists and 7 steals. The most efficient in Zvezda were Thompson with 15 and Jenkins with 14 points.

Special guests of the club at the game were former players of Mega Nikola Jokic and Vasilije Micic that the audience in the hall PSC Pinki greeted with thunderous applause and a standing ovations. Jokic received gift that in the name of the club presented the President of the Executive Board of the Triglav Osiguranje Mr. Dragan Markovic.

Also, Vasa Micic received a nice gift from the club which he was presented by General Manager of Mega Leks Goran Cakic.

Dejan Milojevic started match with the following five: Novak Jaramaz, Mushidi, Simeunovic and Samardziski. At the beginning of the match in the mood were Novak and Jaramaz who with threes brought advantage 16:14 in the middle of the first period. Zvezda reaches minimum lead but Spasojevic connects several points and then Carapic hit tough layup for 26:28 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter Mega had a bad period in the attack as the hosts used to separate at plus 10, 32:42 and Mega on hand did not go injury of Carapic who had to leave the game. The series breaks Spasojevic with three pointer and then Jaramaz connected four points so at half time was 39:47.

After the break at half-time, Crvena zvezda reaches a maximum of plus 15, 43:58. This was followed by the best period of Mega at the match, Jaramaz linked 5 points and then Rebic and Mushidi hit a trio then Rebic another for series 16:0 and 59:58. Zvezda answered with miniseries that Jaramaz cuts with three and then Simeunovic is great under the basket after great assistance of Novak for 66:67 at the end of the third quarter.
