MEGA DIDN’T UTILIZE GOOD START, BUDUCNOST WON IN PODGORICA

Players of Mega Leks didn’t succeed with win to conclude year 2016 as they lost in Podgorica from Buducnost with 88:80 (11:26, 26:11, 27:21, 24:22). Match of 16th round of ABA league had a great start for Mega which had plus 17 at the beginning of the second quarter but Buducnost managed quickly to get back in the game and on the wings of Williams reversed the match and win. Dejan Milojevic in this match because of injury could not count on Simeunovic and Tejic as not on Glogovac that due to the high temperature was not on the team. Nemanja Kapetanovic at the end had debut for Mega scoring 2 points.

Best in the ranks of Mega Leks were Rade Zagorac with 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Alpha Kaba scored 18 points with 11 rebounds. Buducnost led Marcus Williams with 22 points and 9 assists. After 16 rounds Mega has 5 wins and 11 losses while Buducnost recorded 11 wins and 6 losses. The next match Mega Leks haveon Tuesday, January 3rd, when within the 11th round of Group D of the Basketball Champions League, will in Lithuania play against Juventus Utena.

Dejan Milojević je započeo meč sa sledećom petorkom Novak, Jaramaz, Zagorac, Spasojević i Kaba. Na početku meča je viđena sjajna igra Mege na obe strane terena. U odbrani su zatvorili sve puteve ka košu a u napadu su odlično otvorili Kaba i Zagorac. Trojkom Spasojevića Mega posle 6 minuta ima plus 13, 2:15. Mega dominira skokom a nova trojka, ovoga puta pogađa Jaramaz, odvodi ekipu Dejana Milojevića na plus 16, 4:20. Domaća ekipa uspeva da poveže redove u napadu i da smanji na 10 poena razlike ali Kaba sa linije slobodnih bacanja i Čančar trojkom zaključuju 11:26 posle prve četvrtine uz odnos skokova 3 prema 16 u korist Mege.

Druga četvrtina posle uvodnih poena Zagorca iz skoka u napadu za plus, donosi seriju poena Budućnosti. Marelja uspeva da pogodi posle skoka u napadu a potom i da na odličnu asistenciju Zagorca zakuca loptu. Vilijams pokreće novu seriju poena za vođstvo Budućnosti 34:33 u 19. minutu. Kaba je polovičan sa linije slobodnih bacanja a posle dobre odbrane Mege i 6. skoka u napadu Zagorca, Novak pogađa trojku. Sa druge strane uzvraća Popović pa se na poluvreme otišlo sa 37:37.

The second half began with a series of points of Williams who brings Buducnost to plus 7. Zagorac with two threes and a mid-range FG holds Mega in the game. Joined by Spasojevic who hit first from a top of the base and then played good in the paint. In the finish of quarter Cancar hit three for minus 3 but Reynolds returns to 64:58 before the last quarter.

In the last 10 minutes problems with personal fouls further exacerbated job to Mega so before the end match ended Zagorac, Kaba and Marelja. Buducnost went to a secure advantage which Mega in the finish managed to reduce to the final 88:80.
