CANCAR: “WE WILL GIVE OUR BEST AGAINST AVELLINO”

Players of Mega Leks on Wednesday from 20:30 hrs will continue participation in Basketball Champions League with an away game in Italy against Sidigas Avellino. Match of the 8th round of Group D of the Champions League will be a great test for the young team of Mege, which is in average 6 years younger compared to Avelino (20.7 years of Mega compared to 26.7 of Avellino). Beside that, in this match because of injuries will not play Zagorac, Jaramaz, Kaba and Novak. After the match with Avellino, Mega will continue direct tof Skopje where they on Saturday from 19 hours expect match of 13th round of ABA League against Karpos Sokoli.

Coach of Mega Leks Dejan Milojevic says that the team has a lot of problems with injuries:

– We are expecting a very difficult match because Avellino one of the best team in our group. We have a lot of problems with injuries in the team for the match so the match Italy will not play Zagorac, Jaramaz, Kaba and Novak. In whatever roster we play tomorrow, I hope we can play a quality game against Avellino,

said Milojevic.

Mega Leks tp the match with Avellino enters with a record of 2 wins and 5 losses while Italian team has 5 triumphs with 2 lost matches. The two teams met in the first round of the competition in Sremska Mitrovica when Avellino celebrated with 70:84. The Italian team is doing well and in the national championship where holds 3rd place with a score of 7-3. In last matches before this match Mega lost at home against Cibona with 71:82 while Avelino also lost at home to Venice with 78:80.

Power forward of Mega Lels Vlatko Cancar expects a difficult match in Italy:

– We can expect a difficult away match in Italy. Avellino is very good and experienced team who demonstrated that in their games in the Champions League and the Italian championship. They beat us in the first leg in Sremska Mitrovica. Now it will certainly be more difficult despite all the injury problems we have but it will not stop us to give our best in this match, 

said Cancar.
