TEJIC: “WE HAVE TO PLAY MUCH BETTER DEFENSE”

Players of Mega Leks on Tuesday from 20:00 in the Hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica will continue competing in the Basketball Champions League with a game against the Lithuanian Juventus. After three rounds Mega has one victory and the match against the Lithuanian team will be of great significance in further struggle for a place in the next round.

Coach Dejan Milojevic Mega Leks points out that the team needs to raise game in defense:

– On Tuesday, we meet a very experienced Lithuanian team that previously won against Strasbourg and Oostende. We have little time to rest and to correct mistakes. It is necessary first of all to raise our game in defense and reduce the number of errors, especially in the crucial moments of the match. This way we would have a chance to reach the victory which would have meant a lot for the confidence of the team, and for the next round in the Champions League,

Milojevic said.

Juventus Utena provides good performances in the Basketball Champions League where in three matches has two victories, in contrast to the Lithuanian Championship, where they are currently at eighth place in the standings with a score of 3-7. They have an experienced team that is on average nearly five years older compared to those of Mega Leks in the Champions League (25.7 to 20.8 years as an average of Mega). Juventus is a team with very experienced players in Lithuania with two American and one Canadian player. On the playmaker is an American Jahmar Diggs who in the Champions League on average recorded 12.2 points and 5 assists. Guard is Canadian Aaron Best (9.6 points). Smaller role has a forward Spencer Parker (3.4 points). Lithuanians stand out from the position of forward,  Sulskis (11.6 points) and Sirutavicius (13.8 points, 56% for 3 points), center Cepukaitis and guard Bickauskis.

In the first half of the match against the Juventus will be organized a competition in shooting from a half-court for a valuable prize – a plasma TV, a gift of the company Roda. Also, in the breaks of the match, to the auditorium will be from special sporting guns shooted shirts of company Roda.

Young Center of  Mega Marko Tejic expects a very tough match on Tuesday:

– We are expecting a tough game against a very tricky team Juventus. We are Strasbourg at home and Ostende away and thus showed high ambitions in our group. Nama is important that we play much better defense than in previous matches, and if we succeed in this, I believe we will be very close to a very important victory,

said Tejic.

Tickets for the match Mega Leks – Juventus Utena which will be played on Tuesday from 20:00 in the Hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica, went on sale at a price of 300 dinars for stands and 1000 dinars for VIP seats. Tickets can be purchased at the cafe Pinki within the hall in a period of 8 to 22 hours, and at the box office on game day.
