MEGA CONVINCING PRIOR TO PLAYOFFS, GREAT GAME OF ZUBAC

Players of Mega Leks convincingly defeated Borac Cacak with 102:74 (24:15, 28:27, 21:18, 29:14) within the last 6th round of Super League of Serbia. Players of Dejan Milojevic in the first half had a 20-point lead but they resolved match at the beginning of the last quarter when they reached up to 33 points lead. Because of ankle injuries sustained in the previous round, this match did not play Nikola Ivanovic and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.

A nice game in the win of Mega has provided Ivica Zubac with 31 points(index 36), while Petar Popovic had 19 points.

Mega Leks league part of the Super League finished in second place of Group B with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. Mega in the semi-final of playoffs will meet Crvena zvezda Telekom and the first match is scheduled in Hall Aleksandar Nikolic on Friday 27th of May from 19 hours. Semifinal series is played in best of three.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with the following five: Rasic, Popovic, Zagorac, Nikolic and Zubac. At the beginning of the match Zubac announced great game with 6 points and then with points of Zagorac Mega reaches 17:8. Then Popovic was in the mood and at the end of the first quarter was 24:15 for Mega.

Popovic and Zubac continued with great performance while Mega was taken to 40:20 after 15 minutes. This was followed by a drop in the game which used Borac to lower the difference to 8 points and after points of Zubac (23 at halftime), teams went to the break with 52:42.

The second half started better for Mega who over Nikolic and Zagorac took the lead to 15 plus but Borac did not give up and again falls below 10 point lead, 64:55. What followed was the great block by Zubac and mini series so Mega returned double-digit lead, 73:60 at the end of the third quarter

Already in the first minutes of the last quarter Mega definitely settled the question about the winner and after that reservists got minutes, where Pavlovic shined with 10 points in 10 minutes. The match ended with a three from playmaker of Borac Avramovic, who scored from his half for 102: 74.

Special guest of Mega Leksa in this game was Nikola Jokic who that occasion received a gift, a photo-book of his pictures for the time spent in the uniform of Mega.

In the stands of hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica was divided before the match 300 gift packages from company Leks Group, which is the general sponsor of the Mega Leks. At half time to the audience was shot from sporting rifles tribute shirts of Mega’s sponsors.
