ANGT BERLIN: MEGA LOST IN FINISH AGAINST ZALGIRIS

Mega Bemax started the final tournament of juniors Euroleague in Berlin with defeat since Zalgiris was better with 81:68 (17:18, 18:20, 21:16, 25:14). Players of Miodrag Rajkovic generally had the lead during the first half but after the equal third quarter, it was followed by bad finish of the last period which decided the winner.

The most efficient in Mega were Marko Pecarski with 17 points, Nikola Miskovic 15 and Novak Music with 12, who also had 9 assists.

Juniors of Mega started match well as they arrived to the 9-point lead in the mid opening quarter. However, Zalgiris  did not let off the hook, so half time was ended with a plus 3 for Mega, 38:35, with a good game from Miskovic, who scored 13 points.

In the third quarter, Pecarski was in the mood who scored 10 points in this period, but Mega has not managed to come to a lead. In the last period Zalgiris initially reached the 7-point lead but the Mega Bemax was back with a series  6:0. In the last 5 minutes was followed by a large drop in the concentration of juniors of Mega and Lithuanian team took advantage of that and ended the match with convincing 13 point plus, 81:68.

The next match on the “Adidas Next Generation Tournament” Mega Bemax  have tomorrow at 9 o’clock in the morning against Barcelona. In the finale, which will be played on Sunday 15 May, will advance to the best placed teams from both groups.
