IVANOVIC: “GOOD PRELUDE FOR FINALS”

For the third consecutive year, Mega Leks will play in the final of Radivoje Korac Cup. With a victory over Metalac, coach Dejan Milojevic fot the third consecutive time come the opportunity to fight for the trophy “Zuckova levica”.

“A large part of the match we played at a very high level” ,summed up the impressions at a press conference Nikola Ivanovic and then added:

“I think we made a good prelude for the final match, but we were able to rest some of the major players. I have to admit that in a couple situations we came to a small relaxation, especially in defense, but all in all a very good quality match by us and an important victory”, stated Ivanovic.

After another win this season, Dejan Milojevic was very pleased with the triumph, but also with a gameof his team:

“I respect Metalac and work of my colleague Djokic Government colleagues and I knew that we are not expecting an easy task. We had to really sweat it out in order to reach this result and to play very good defense the first three quarters. We made them to commit many turnovers in the first three quarters, even 21. These situations we used for counter-attacks. It gave us easy baskets and score at a time when we did not use three-point shot in the first half”, hpaused briefly Milojevic and then continued with the analysis of the match:

“The third quarter we opened well. We put some shots 6.75 line, increased their lead to twenty points difference after we routinely detained match in the end. Based on experience from previous matches, I knew that the Metalac never surrender. At one point, they came to some ten points difference, however, we scored point after a offensive rebound, and then put the basket with a foul and thus solve the winner”, told Milojevic and finally said:

“I wish good luck to Metalac in the next game against Olimpija. I would like them to stay in the ABA league and to continue fight against each other”.
