ZAGORAC: “AGRESSIVE DEFENSE FOR WIN AGAINST TAJFUN”

On Sunday 17th of January at 5 pm  in Sremska Mitrovica, Mega Leks welcomes Tajfun within the 20th round of ABA league. In addition to the extensive program before and during the match, the audience in the hall Pinki PSC will have the opportunity to welcome the juniors of Mega Leks, who with a victory in the tournament in Rome, qualified for the final tournament of the junior Euroleague which will be held in May in Berlin. However, probably the most anticipated moment of the evening should be the return of captain of Mega Rade Zagorac and first appearance after an injury he suffered in the first round of ABA league.

Coach Dejan Milojevic addressed the problems with the health of players:

“We had a lot of problems with the virus last week since several players were ill, Nikolic, Kaba, Savovic and Luwawu. Our medical team is doing everything to prepare them for the match against Tajfun but we’ll see who will be able to play. After a long break due to injury, Rade Zagorac will be ready for this match”,

Milojevic said and continued:

“Tajfun is very serious and good team. They play very organized and do not give up the fight. In Slovenia, we have played an extremely tough match so we know what to expect. I respect the work of their coach and they were not by accident champions of Slovenia last season. Before us is a difficult match but I believe that with far better quality game than we played in the match against Igokea, we will reach victory that will bring us even closer to the placement of the play-offs”,

Mega in the last round lost to Igokea in Laktasi with 80:75 while Tajfun was defeated at home against Zadar with 66:82. Mega after 19 rounds has a score of 12-7 while Typhoon collected 7 wins and 12 losses. In the first match between these rivals in round 7 of the season, Mega icelebrated in Celje with 60:64.

Rade Zagorac is happy about returning to the floor

“I have long waited for this moment and I really was very difficult to watch the matches of Mega outside the courd, without being able to help. My job is to give my best to fit in as soon as possible in game of Mega. Despite the extreme youth and indisputable talent, we have shown that we have the quality and that we never surrender and that is why we deserved this place that leads to the playoffs”,

Zagorac said.

The match against Tajfun will be extremely interesting given that the team from Slovenia, on average, older for more than seven years of Mega, 26.5 compared to an average of 19.3 years of roster Mega Leks. Captain of Mega Leks highly praise guests from Slovenia:

“This is a very combative and experienced team and it will not be easy. We know the recipe for victory and we know it’s aggressive play in the defense which is a base for everything else. We need to control the jump from start of the match and with a clever game in attack, toreach another win on the road to the playoffs”,

In the match between Mega and Tajfun will be organized “RODA’S HALF COURT SHOTS”. In fact, before the game from the sporting rifle will be shot three shirts and viewers who will catch them will on the half-time have opportunity to shot  from half-court for a valuable prize – a plasma TV, which had been obtained by company RODA. If they are not precise, they will have the opportunity to strike behind the 6.75 line to win consolation prizes, mobile phones.

The match is scheduled for Sunday January 17th from 5 pm in the hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica. Tickets for the match are on sale at a price of 200 dinars for the stands and 500 dinars for VIP seats. The game will be broadcast live on TV Arena Sport.
