LEADER SLIPPED THROUGH MITROVICA!

BC Mega Leks  at almost full hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica, played another exciting match but at the end still lost to the leaders of the ABA league Budućnost VOLI with 81:83 (22:14, 18:20, 18:29, 23:20). Mega at 38th minutee had 6 points lead but with poor performing of free throws in the end it dropped the victory. At 5 seconds before the end, Cook hit one free throw but in the remaining time Simeunović missed shot for three from extremely difficult position.

After 16 rounds, Mega occupies the 4th place with a score of 11-5 while Buducnost is the first with 14 wins and 2 losses. In the next round on December 28th, Mega Leks plays in Skopje against MZT.

Milojevic started the match with  Jaramaz, Luwawu-Cabarrot, Aranitovic, Nikolic and Jankovic. In the first quarter of the Mega controlled the game and with the good mood of Luwawu-Cabarrot reached a bigger lead 22:14 with great defense of whole team

The first drop in the game felt at the beginning of the second quarter when the guests took lead, but Ivanovic returns a triple and then Nikolic and Aranitović hit shots for 30:26. Buducnost tried to answer but without success so with points of Kaba half ended with 40:34.

The begin of second half belonged to the guests who have moved into the lead at one point with 55:63. In these moments Mega in the game was held by Jaramaz and Kaba. Quarter ended Simeunović great layup with a foul for 58:63 before the last 10 minutes.

Luwawu-Cabarrot opened quarter with a three and then was joined by Kaba. Jaramaz then hit two triples for 73:68. Simeunovic grabbed offensive rebound from difficult position and was fouled, after which he hit both free throws and then Ivanovic triple for 78:72 with 2:25 to the end. Tadija Dragicevic with two triples returns Buducnost on egal, 80:80 to 45 seconds to the end. Luwawu-Cabarrot then hit one  free throw and Kaba misses both with less than six seconds to finish at plus one for the guests. Cook was foul fouled, hitting one free throw and in the remaining time, Simeunović in a difficult position misses three for the win.

Aggravating circumstance for Mega Leks is the fact that in the first half injured Nikola Jankovic, who then did not play. Jankovic injured his knee, and on what degree of injury it is and how much will be absent from the field, will be known only after a detailed examination to be conducted on Friday.

The match was full rich content. Before the start of the match Mark oĆelap, eight years old, from Sremska Mitrovica and the winner of the competition for an essay on the topic “I have a right to dream – I’m the mayor,” was awarded to be one day be mayor. As a special guest of Mega Leks, in addition to numerous awards, handed him a scarf Mege by mascot of Pinky and Santa Claus, which was another surprise for the youngest viewers in the hall.

At half-time it was held shooting competition with half court and three point shots for a valuable prize, a TV that is provided by the company Roda but participants were not accurate nor behind the three-point line.
