JUNIORS OF MEGA LEKS AT EUROLEAGUE’S QUALIFICATIONS IN ROME

Juniors of Mega Leks will from 27th to 29th of December in Rome take part in qualifications for the final of the Euroleague Junior Tournament which will be held from 12th to 15th of May in Berlin. In qualifcations in 4 cities for “EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT” will participate in total of 32 teams from 15 countries. At the tournament in Rome, in addition to junior team of Mega Leks, will play also Anadolu Efes, Armani Junior Milan, CSKA Moscow, Stellaazzura Basketball Academy Rome, Umana Meyer Venice, Unicaja Malaga and Virtus Bologna.
The winners of tournament in Rome will qualify for the finals in Berlin where will be, beside winners of 4 qualfications tournament, participate defending champion Real Madrid and three teams with a Wild Card.
Coach of the junior team of Mega Leks Nenad Canak commented upcoming tournament in Rome:
“Qualification tournament in Rome is one of the main goals of the season, in addition to the development and further progress of the players. Opponents are certainly big names, which indicates that this is a very serious tournament with what we are not yet familiar with the quality of the teams. We want to get through the domestic league to better prepare for and qualifications, to get a good result and we see where we are compared to other teams”,
