FANTASTIC SERBIA U16 TURNAROUND FOR QUARTER-FINALS, PECARSKI AGAIN DOUBLE-DOUBLE!

Serbia U16 qualified for the quarter-finals of European Championship for players under 16 years of age which is being held in Kaunas, since after the great last quarter (28: 7) defeated Montenegro with 78:64 (13:23, 22:16, 15:18, 28:7).

Marko Pecarski again recorded double-double performance with 14 points and 10 rebounds with 3 blocks, excelled particularly in the finish of the game, where he led Serbia to secure an advantage. Aleksa Matic had 3 points.

Montenegro has led for most of the match and at the end of the first quarter had an advantage of 10 points. On several occasions, Serbia is trying to reverse but every time they approached, it was followed with mistakes. However, in the mid last quarter after the three form Matic, Serbia came to a point minus and then and then led to a brilliant series and ended match with a quite convincing win.

This was the fourth consecutive victory of Serbia after the initial 2 defeats in the European Championship.

In the quarterfinals Serbia U16 plays with the national team of Turkey and the match will be played on Friday 14th of August at 8.15 PM.
